The Made in England Vintage collection is handmade in Northamptonshire by cobblers using the original manufacturing techniques and in Quilon leather, a rare material which follows the original Dr. Martens specifications. A thick, corrected-grain leather with a matte finish that gets better with age. The unisex 1460 boot expresses classic Docs DNA, which includes grooved edges, a heel-loop and yellow stitching. Designed to last, this shoe is made with one of the most refined construction techniques: the Goodyear welt, where the upper and sole are sewn together with our heat-sealed Z-stitch. The shoe rests on our iconic AirWair™ sole, which is oil and fat resistant and has excellent anti-abrasion and anti-slip properties.
